Likes: beautifully decorated- art is beautiful, lighting soft and cozy. I just love the old black and white photos and real paintings of the west. More importantly- consistently good service. Very tasty food. Always have a great time here. Nice for date night, but casual enough for family night. Dislikes: I hate to say it (gulp) but i have had a more flavorful prime rib (my favorite) but the steaks and sides are still great. Only reason for one less star.sorry longhorn!

The food is great all of the time but the service is only good 25% of the time. I only go if I'm really craving the cowboy steak with the egg on top. They also have great drinks. If the service was always good, I'd be a regular for sure. Work on your service!

We have been to Longhorn on a few occasions and are always impressed with the excellent service. On a recent visit for a special occasion we where super impressed with the food and equally impressed with the service. We dined with a party of 7. We all enjoyed our meal which was served with perfection . Steaks where cooked exactly how we ordered them . The renegade sirloin was tender and had flavorful. You can not beat their Mac and cheese. The manager did an awesome job visiting tables and managing the floor. I recommend LongHorn Steakhouse in Lady Lake wholeheartedly.

We went to this location because it's close to our house. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. We ordered the Steakhouse Dinner for two which included entree, salad and dessert. The server was pleasant and kept a keen eye on our table. I ordered my steak well done and I couldn't believe how juicy and tasty it was. I told the server to make sure to compliment the chef. Something I seldom do. We had cheese cake for dessert and it was real NY style. I look forward to a another visit soon.

The restaurant was quite busy, but we got a table right away. The hostess took our cocktail orders, which was a nice touch, since our server was quite busy. We both ordered steaks, which were excellent. Cooked to perfection! The veggies were also very good, and so was the warm bread! The ceasar salads left something to be desired. Not much flavor and very dry, like eating undressed lettuce! The key lime pie was terrific. Service was quick and polite. A good place to go for an excellent steak! Forget the ceasar salads though!

If you are looking for a good steak then the LongHorn Steak house is one of the top contenders in The Villages. The decor of the restaurant is very comfortable and has what I can only describe as an upscale western theme. My boyfriend and I went there this evening and were met with a 45 min wait time. Although it was a bit of a wait, we both are willing if the quality is on the plate. We chose to spend our wait at the bar where we had a couple cocktails, I would highly recommend the Firefly Blackberry Tea if you are looking for a sweet refreshing taste with a bit of a kick. By the end of our drinks our table was ready, where we were quickly greeted by our server. We proceeded along with our meal with the stuffed mushroom appetizer, which was delicious to say the least. The mushrooms were not overcooked and still had enough firmness to with hold the gooey cheese goodness inside. After the appetizer our steaks came out rather quickly. I had a perfectly cooked filet mignon with a side lobster tail that could only be described as cooked to perfection and sweetly doused in butter. The only thing that kept me from giving a 5 star review was our dessert course, we had the trio sampler of cheesecake, apple pastry and a chocolate mousse cake. It was not a bad dessert, but was a little sweet for my taste, which is saying a lot as I am a dark chocolate lover. Overall LongHorn provided us with a good meal, a nice environment and very attentive service. This restaurant has been added to my YES list for dining in The Villages.

Dardinschmardin...Overpaying for the same fare that a dozen other restaurants in the area have is ridiculous. We were not only disappointed at LongHorn - but were dismayed at the lack of attention to detail. The place is jammed almost every night and we finally figured out why...Happy Hour! Once grandma and grandpa get a couple highballs under their belt everything tastes better.

Part of the Dardin group (Red Lobster, Olive Garden) so food quality and service is generally very good. Not a 5 star restaurant but better than average. My favorite is the "Longhorn Porterhouse" it's a calorie killer but it tastes sooo good.

Actually super impressed with this location. Great service, drinks, and food. However, my friend and I both ordered our steaks medium rare - one came out medium rare and the other was medium well. Not a huge deal because I ended up liking what I had but in any other situation this wouldn't go over well. Service staff is super friendly and accommodating. I accidentally ordered a loaded baked potato not realizing it comes with bacon (which I don't eat) and they switched it out with no problem.

The Ivy House - Ocala, Florida 352-622-5550 Tonight myself and others went to this restaurant to try it out. First mistake was our waiter - who's name is not on our receipt- He was rude and just had a nasty attitude. After finishing our salads, he rolled the silverware on to the table ,just was awful, I told him I wanted clean silverware he never brought them, had someone else bring them over. Upon paying for the meal, he took all the receipts and I said I need my copy, he said oh I thought you didn't want it and I threw it away. The food was good, but, definitely they need to get rid of this waiter. He spoiled all our meals with his attitude. Would I go back NO

I called at 4:00 pm on 3/11/15 to get on the list for four people at 5:30pm. This is what I was told to do. This was special since my daughter and son-in-law have never been to Florida and I wanted to have a nice evening dining before they left to go back home the next day. When we arrived at 5:30 we were told the girl never put us on the wait list. We waited 30 minutes before being seated I found the service to be good but my daughter and son-in-law were disappointed in their 30 oz. porterhouse steak for two. It was more like a "T" bone steak.

French onion soup so cold. Steak badly undercooked, raw. Mgr comp'd entrees. Disappointed night for my birthday dinner.

I've never been there before and didn't realize that every person over the age of 60 goes out to eat so we had to wait 45 minutes. But the food was worth the wait. The alcoholic bevarages were on point and so were the steaks. The staff were courteous and polite as well. So if you don't mind the smell of poly grip and the feeling of dining in a bingo hall I would suggest this restaurant.

Good service, the burger was ok, nothing special going on but the Prime Rib was delicious. Make sure you try the Wild West shrimp which is an appetizer....

Great service this evening (Cody) but steak was not cooked correctly and tasted like it was from Denny's. Very disappointing. We usually go to Outback which sometimes has an off night here and there but the quality of the beef has never been an issue.

We've have had mixed experiences here but haven't had too much issue in the past few years. Normally we go as a party of 8 which they are unfortunately not the friendliest place for. They do not take reservations, why can they not simply have a policy of allowing reservations for groups of 8 or more because it gets really hard to accommodate them when things get busy? The drinks were slow at points but the servers apologized before we even said anything about it. Prices are reasonable and they gave me a full size shaker, filled for my margarita. The waiter was even very good about my grandmother who ordered a pina colada and did not expect it to be frozen... lol. However when the bill came it was still on there even though she promptly sent it back.

First time at Longhorn, wasn't really impressed. Ordered the T-bone, medium was cooked to temp but was overly caked in spices that really didn't have much favor , sweet potato was nothing special and the green beans were blah. Don't get me wrong it was totally horrible ...just par .. nothing special here.
